Let's make your home the neighborhood showstopper. RHID can select exterior finishes, lighting, door and hardware selections, and outdoor furnishings. We’ll customize a darling and dreamy front porch, killer pool-side cabana, badass outdoor kitchen, or craft a simple, but distinct facelift. When it comes to additions, new construction, or landscape, we partner with top architects and landscape designers to collaborate on a mutual vision bringing your exterior plans to life.
This is the heart of our business - we’re dynamic collaborators skilled at pouring through your Instagram and Pinterest saves to dig out the essence of your design, while enhancing your vision with our expertise. We are listeners, gathering your needs and thoughts and delivering a studied and elevated environment. We start with mood boards to get the tone just right, then graduate to specific selections, choreographed into a dynamic presentation that breaks down our design ideas, your budget, and timeline to bite size components. Owners Marli and Michael are perfectionist, pushing their team to deliver a well-crafted product down to the smallest millwork or accessory detail, delighting clients and creating life-long relationships.
Custom furniture + Lighting design
Owner Marli Jones has a strong background in custom product design for high-end residential, boutique hospitality, and retail design projects. Marli and her team have designed custom case pieces, millwork, lighting, and furniture used in public and private spaces across the country. RHID has working relationships with fabricators on the West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, Canada, and Asia. Crafts and trades are skills mastered over years of practice and experience. We downright cherish our partnerships with our craftspeople - they bring our design visions to life, in budget, and help arm our clients with the right care for their custom pieces.
Design-build projects are one of our favorites to work on. Bring the many detail questions and construction consult needs - we’re ready. We know it can be downright daunting for homeowners, so we keep it fun. RHID will step in to take the guess-work out of your project. We’re here as your partner to review plans with architects and/or contractors, help you bid your project to a variety of trades, keep an eye on your budget, stay organized on a timeline, and we can be the first point of contact from when your project takes off.
RHID believes art collecting to be an integral part of finishing one’s space. We use our knowledge of the contemporary art scene to enhance or begin your collection, introducing you to artists and curators across the globe. Owner Marli grew up in the art scene of Chicago and Paris, her parents are both award-winning painters in both cities. RHID’s art collecting philosophy is to drill down on what you love. Art is not about being expensive, it is about finding pieces that speak to you and are appropriately scaled to fit your space.
We’ll arrive to your home with fresh eyes to mix your personal collection with touches of new goodies - giving your environment a true facelift. We’re always amassing an impressive collection of shiny new and old treasures and we love taking them out for a spin in your space. You can book us for a styling afternoon to refresh your interior or plan for us to come at the end of our design project together to install your furnishings and assemble the finishing touches to your space. The team at RHID adores completing a styling session with some well-appointed greenery and floral.
