Founded by wife-and-husband duo Marli Jones and Michael Kreuser, Rebel House is a multidisciplinary interior design studio working at the intersection of rigorous craft and creative conviction. Rather than repeat a signature aesthetic or follow what’s been done before, the studio creates a distinct visual language for every project — one shaped by the client, the character of the architecture, and the possibilities only Rebel House would think to pursue.
Marli brings the instincts of an artist, with an eye for tension, composition, and the unexpected details that make a room feel alive. Michael brings a meticulous command of process and execution — the technical precision that makes ambitious ideas possible.
Together with their team, they draw from design history, material culture, and an ever-evolving network of artists, artisans, and under-the-radar makers to create spaces that feel informed but never overly familiar.
Approaching each project with a clear point of view and genuine curiosity, Rebel House pushes beyond the obvious while remaining deeply responsive to the client’s perspective. Marli Jones

Rebel House owner and creative director Marli Jones began her career as a senior designer in both San Francisco and Chicago — but in true rebellious fashion, she set off on her own to build Rebel House in 2015. Combining her passion for art with her tenured knack for creating meaningful, lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and partners alike, Marli leads a team of talented designers and has built a dynamic portfolio of residential and hospitality projects.
Proving that true rebellion is found through inherent authenticity and creativity, Marli’s unexpected, evocative, and textural work has been featured in hospitality and residential projects throughout the U.S., earning recognition as an AD PRO Designer and on AD’s list of 26 Chicago Designers to Know.
Michael Kreuser

With extensive experience in project management, content creation, and marketing, Rebel House owner and managing director Michael Kreuser is the left brain to Marli’s right.
After years spent crafting compelling content and marketing the work of designers, athletes, and tastemakers, Michael understands the unique balance of innovation and organization required in creative fields — as well as the specific needs of clients and their projects. With creative vision and expert execution, Michael manages everything from operations to firm growth and evolution for the Rebel House team.
Amanda Clemente Eby

With more than a decade of experience in luxury hospitality and high-end residential interiors, Rebel House Design Director Amanda Clemente Eby brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to every project. A LEED Accredited Professional and NCIDQ-certified interior designer, Amanda joined Rebel House in 2020 and was promoted to Design Director in 2023.
Previously, Amanda built her luxury design expertise at internationally renowned hospitality firm Pierre-Yves Rochon before continuing to refine her approach as a Director of Interiors at AJ Capital Partners, where she helped shape the acclaimed Graduate Hotels portfolio. Guided by a belief in intentional design, Amanda combines meticulous attention to detail with a deep understanding of how spaces are experienced, helping clients embrace thoughtful risks while creating interiors that feel timeless, personal, and distinctly Rebel House.
Brooke Kamins

Senior Interior Designer Brooke Kamins brings a unique blend of technical precision and creative vision to every Rebel House project. An NCIDQ-certified interior designer, Brooke joined Rebel House after building a strong foundation in hospitality design at Perkins&Will. Known for her detail-oriented approach and thoughtful problem-solving, she seamlessly balances functionality with creativity, helping transform bold ideas into beautifully executed spaces that are as practical as they are inspiring.
Joy Kim

A multi-disciplinary designer and maker, Joy brings a distinctive creative sensibility and meticulous eye to every Rebel House project. She has led high-end residential design work across firms including Soucie Horner, and built a strong foundation in commercial design through award-winning adaptive reuse and historic preservation projects at CEDARst Companies. Joy's deep commitment to client relationships and hands-on approach — from concept through procurement — make her a vital part of the team.
Sarah Davis

An NCIDQ-certified designer and ASID member with more than two decades of experience, Sarah Davis brings full-lifecycle expertise to every Rebel House project — from initial concept and construction documents through sourcing, procurement, and installation. Her award-winning residential work spans targeted renovations to large-scale new construction, and she is known for her creative leadership and deep fluency in both design and firm operations. Sarah's ability to translate a client's vision into beautifully executed spaces makes her a cornerstone of the team.
Zoe Turner

With over a decade of experience across top showrooms and residential firms — including Holly Hunt, Leo Designs, and Lindsey Goddard Interiors — Zoe brings a rare combination of creative fluency and operational precision to Rebel House. Her background in design gives her an instinct for what matters, and her command of procurement, scheduling, and vendor relationships means the team can push further knowing execution is in good hands. Ayesha Sanders

Ayesha came to Rebel House with a foundation rooted in hospitality design, a BFA from Mississippi College, and a genuine love for playful fabrics and unexpected materials. Her strong technical background and collaborative instincts make her a natural fit for the studio's detail-driven process. Outside the office, she's on the hunt for her next vintage find and fostering cats – although her current foster seems increasingly unlikely to leave.
Michelle Fomin

A graduate of Columbia College Chicago's Interior Architecture program, Michelle arrived at Rebel House with experience at some of the city's most respected residential firms, including Kara Mann Design. She knows the material library like the back of her hand and has every vendor on speed dial. Bold choices don't intimidate her — one of her family pets is a talking parrot, which was probably good training.
Hannah Zimmerman

Hannah graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Computer Science before discovering her real passion was making organizations run better. She's coordinated complex development projects, built enterprise-wide systems, and even spent time at an interior design firm — so she walked into Rebel House already speaking the language. Her spreadsheets are legendary, and the office hums along accordingly.
