Project/Office Manager
Job Overview:
The project/office manager partners with members of the design team to organize project deliverables during the construction administration phase of the design process. For projects, this role will manage procurement, contractor/trade scheduling, and installation timelines. They will help organize and disseminate project documentation to key stake holders, including construction documents, purchase orders, and shop drawings/samples. For the studio, this position manages office supplies and budget; monthly employee reimbursements; and coordinates vendor visits in concert with the Design Director based on studio schedule and team needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Contributes to projects in Phase 3 including:
Owns execution elements of projects including mapping out necessary timelines and communication with design team, trades people, and clients.
Coordinating with project designer on project to assist with necessary next steps for project execution (IE site visits, measures, shop drawing creation, etc)
Coordinating with project designer on communicating with client via weekly project updates.
Tracking shop drawing and sample approvals and timelines
Scheduling installations and deliveries.
Installing furniture, fixtures, accessories.
Reports to other managers (Design Director, Creative Director, Managing Director) on project progress and status.
Manges Project Purchasing:
Executing purchase orders.
Tracking orders and providing expediting reports to design team and client, as necessary.
Manages office including:
Ordering office supplies
Keeping office budget
Executes monthly employee reimbursements
Manages Vendor Presentation Calendar
Review vendor requests for presentations with Design Director/Creative Director
Book vendor presentations
Qualifications:
College Degree required.
Experience in a high-end design office a plus
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously a must.
Ability to maintain a high level of organization, attention to detail, and project documentation a must.
Can do attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get directly involved in projects and installations is key.
Service-first mentality to ensure clients feel a strong sense of care and attention to detail on their projects.
Willingness to grow knowledge base and take on new challenges on each project and then apply that knowledge in future situations..
Ability to lift 35+ lbs and be on feet for installations and job site visits is necessary.
Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation a must.
Experience with google sheets and studio designer a plus

Junior Interior Designer
Rebel House LLC is looking for a junior interior designer with high-end residential experience to assist Principal and Senior Designers in all aspects of hospitality and residential design projects. The position will be based from the firm’s North Shore office.
Job Description/Tasks:
Drafting floor plans, elevations, and custom furniture drawings in CAD.
Requesting pricing and writing proposals for selected items in StudioDesigner.
Assisting in presentation preparation including procuring samples, pricing, and other necessary information - updating budget sheets and presentation documents in keynote with accurate information and filing quotes appropriately.
Making site visits to inspect installations, meet tradespeople, and advance project needs.
Liaising with vendors, tradespeople, and clients.
Installing furniture and accessories for completed project.
Collaborating with senior staff, including taking direction on priority and necessary tasks.
Take notes in meetings and communicate effectively on action items.
Desired Skills & Experience:
1-2 years of experience in high-end residential design
Interior Design and/or Interior Architecture education
Ability to multitask effectively
Ability to stay organized and on task
FF&E focused - good knowledge of vendors, product, materials, shopping and resourcing
Experience in project management
Willing to travel domestically to job sites, when necessary
Access to reliable transportation to visit job sites in the Chicago-land area
Understanding of custom furniture design and fabrication process
AutoCAD, Photoshop, Keynote skills are essential
Knowledge of Studio Designer a plus
